HAZEL HOUSE
This program was developed to provide long term foster care for special needs and senior dogs that end up in rescue. We like to think of it as a type of nursing home/hospice environment for dogs that deserve to live out their lives in a loving home, instead of being euthanized at an animal shelter. We take these special little dogs into our homes and treat them as members of our families. All of our rescue branches have dogs that are members of our Hazel House program.
Sometimes they are only with us for a few weeks, sometimes they are with us for years, but however long they are with us, they are loved and kept comfortable for during their remaining days on this earth.
All of the Hazel House dogs have their own special story to tell. Most of them were slated for euthanasia in animal shelters due to their handicap, medical needs, or age. We feel very fortunate that we were able to take them in and give them a second chance at a good life. They all deserve it, and without a doubt appreciate it - you can see it in their faces every day that we spend with them.
This program relies solely on donations to provide the veterinary care, medication, special diets, and bedding needed to make these precious little dogs comfortable during their time with us. Please consider helping us with our mission to save these special little dogs.
