TERRY'S CLAWS AND PAWS

Brian has been grooming our rescue dogs for us since 2004. Many of these dogs have never been groomed before and are in horrible shape - matted, dirty and very frightened. Brian is very gentle with these dogs and very patient when working with them. Often when we arrive to pick the dogs up, we can hear Brian in the back of the shop talking to the dogs in his gentle way. Our dogs always come home looking and smelling wonderful!

BELLY BANDS

For those of you who might be wondering what in the world a belly band is we will explain: Belly bands are fabric bands that are very helpful for male dogs that mark their territory. We find them invaluable with our male foster dogs - they save our carpets and furniture from being ruined by urine. These bands are made to use with a feminine napkin pad or a Poise pad. The pad fits into the band which you wrap around the male dog's "waist" covering his penis - the band is secured with velcro.

We have found that there are belly bands, and then there are really well made belly bands...our favorite belly bands are made by Brandy Turner. Her belly bands are durable, easily washed and dried and come in a variety of fabrics. We find that our bow wow dogs also tolerate wearing them quite well. Our favorite is the denim belly band with elastic. These are denim lined with soft cotton fabric in cute patterns. The elastic on the sides helps for a snug fit and prevents leaking.
